Betting suggestion:
In the 12 head to head matches between them, Djokovic has ALLWAYS won. But Cilic has evolved and plays in a style that is uncomfortable for Djokovic. Cilic’s aggressiveness could be efficient should he be consistent. Djokovic should present a more tactical service to start his points aggressively, while Cilic will use his strong service to get a few aces and win easy points on weak service responses. We believe Djoko will win in 3 or 4 sets, so the best bet is that there will be at least 1 tie break.

This is a match for the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. Current number 1, Novak Djokovic, faces Marin Clic.
Analysis N. Djokovic
The Serbian Novak Djokovic is the favourite to win this tournament, but before that he needs to win another 3 matches.
Nole is the man all players want to beat. He is a true monster in the court, who dominates extremely well all kinds of strokes, with the exception of a small problem with his volley. Moreover, he is very consistent and intense and has the sensibility to strategically recover from negative situations.
This season he has already won 5 titles and registers only 3 losses. Without a doubt this is one of the best seasons of his career. In this tournament he won all previous matches in direct sets, but in the last match, against Kevin Anderson, he had to recover from 2 sets, lost in tie breaks.
Analysis M. Čilić
Croatian Marin Cilic is the man in charge of the difficult task of eliminating Djoko. He is a specialist in fast pitches, who has won the last US Open, so he is a dangerous opponent to face in grass. He is in the 9th position of the ATP ranking and is very tall, 1.98m, which is useful when serving.
Cilic has an excellent service stroke, improved with the help of Ivanisevic. Another of his powerful strokes is his forehand. But he isn´t in his best technical form, so he has made many mistakes lately, mostly at the bottom of the pitch, which could be fatal against Djoko.
After some time absent due to an injury, Cilic has improved this season and should arrive at the US Open in good shape to defend his title. To win this match he will need to improve a lot, though. However, we shouldn’t underestimate the Croatian, since he clearly has enough quality to beat Djoko.
